Jurors report to the assembly room on the first floor and remain there until a panel is called. A panel is a group drawn from the room and sent to a courtroom for selection. Jurors who are not called by the end of the day are released and their service is complete.
A juror who must leave the room speaks to the attendant first. The attendant records the time of leaving and the time of return. A juror absent when a panel is drawn is not placed on that panel and stays in the pool for later panels.
